Vows

I wrote this poem for a friend in a parking lot on their wedding gift card in between their wedding and their reception.

Let the look of love
that passed between you
on the altar this day
continue to beam between you

Work with each other while
raising yourselves and son
in safety, song, and stillness of heart
where you hear hope in each other's voices
float softly through each other's dreams
